The primary objective of SANN Institute of
Nursing (SION) is to provide quality nursing education and experience
to Nepalese as well as youths (both male and female) from the SAARC
region at a reasonable cost. Beginning January 2003, the institute
will offer courses in Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) and in 2004
a Bachelor of Science in Nursing will also be offered. Both of these
will be US university based programs. Most of the training will
be in Nepal to reduce the cost of training and to make adjustment
gradual. The last part of the training will take place in the US.
For
the ADN program the institute will follow Eastern Kentucky University
(EKU) curriculum and educational standerds. The students admitted
in the program will attend three semesters of theoretical and clinical
classes in Nepal. For the fourth semester students will proceed
to America and attend classes at EKU.
